Even cancer is afraid of death… if it knows you are going to fight. In my 36 years of military service, I have had many encounters with death. For an aviator and soldier risk to life is an intrinsic part of duty. I always boldly faced challenges and never let the risks cloud my mind with fear of any kind. However, life often throws up challenges for which you are least prepared. I was diagnosed with cancer of Lymph Nodes in the summer of 2008 and subsequently had three rounds of treatment at various intervals.
